Polydactyl Records is the art-crazed invention of Broderick Young, a crazy kid in love with crazy music from the highly cultural center (not) of Grapevine-Colleyville, TX. Founded circa 2009, Polydactyl Records has put out a somewhat sizable discography of EPs, singles, and a collection of albums and side projects. The founders of the record label also planned and performed two secret outdoor concerts know as "Garagefest," the second of which is now available as a live recording . One of Polydactyl artists' latest ambitious projects is the "Nougats" compilation which was featured in the Lofi Psych blog . Although the pure essence of the Polydactyl label and its blog is two brothers and a portastudio, Polydactyl is expanding beyond the Young brothers' living room and now includes members from the hubs of Austin, Denton, and Grapevine-Colleyville, TX. While we are in no way superheroes (and you know how we love superheroes), the inevitable path of Polydactyl is in the words of Corbin Young "taking over the world, then exiling ourselves only to find ourselves attempting to take over the world again."
